Jas Mann is the guy behind the band Babylon Zoo. There was a lot of confusion surrounding Jas' music recording contract in the mid nineties. Albums had been prepared, and sleeves for a single (sounds so old now that we have iTunes) when it became very unclear where the band would actually sign their record contract. Promotional copies of the song "Spaceman" had already been distributed and tied in with the release of a new Levi's jeans TV commercial. The song went straight to #1 in the UK, and did the same in 23 countries. An album "The Boy With the X-Ray Eyes" was produced at Jas Mann's music and video centre, and was very succesful in 1996. When the 1999 follow-up album wasn't really as big a success as the previous work, Jas Mann moved to India and started working for an aid agency. Now that's what we call inspiration.
